Divinities Island

A series of portals dot this landscape. Once someone sets foot upon Divinities Island they are under the watchful eyes of the deities watch over the island. Violence between people is prohibited and violators of this law are harshly punished.

Each portal on the island leads to the listed region within the Pokemon universe. Travel routes between regions such as walking, boats, or trains happen as normal.

History of the Island

There wasn’t an island here when Kang’or ruled the islands. The great God-Beast made even individual deities tremble. It was only through a great collective working that Kang’or was eventually defeated. This working, however, created a tear in time-space and a gateway into new dimensions was created. The deities involved put a restriction on these dimensions. Since these all help spirit creatures in them and the shedding of mortal blood could upset the balance here, they forbade all acts of violence between mortals. If a mortal attacks another mortal openly or acts against them and results in physical harm, the aggressor is ejected from the island and teleported 100ft from shore where they must swim back to Celestia. Repeated offenses lead to the aggressor being teleported to a random nearby island. Any attempts to reenter Celestia fail and the aggressor ends up back on a random nearby island.

Celestia

Celestia is the capital city of Divinities Island and caters almost exclusively to travelers and adventurers. The permanent population is around 1000 people but it has a disproportionate number of inns, apartments, and supply stores as the spirit creatures that reside within the island can be found nowhere else in Arcadia. Rooms cost 1g per night or 8 gold per week (10 days) for basic accommodations but the price goes up from there. Every standard item from the Pokemon world can be found here but they stop functioning when they are removed from the island. Adventurers and travelers are warned that no blood may be spilled upon the island under the punishment of expulsion.

How it all works

Upon reaching the island a character has full access to all abilities and spells. Once a portal is crossed the player is temporarily marked with a sigil of peace. This means that any attempt to harm another humanoid will result in them being expelled from the island as mentioned above. You also gain a “side class” of Pokemon Trainer. This class is only accessible while here and any progress in that class gets saved when they leave. This means if you gain 2 levels in Pokemon trainer when you return you will pick up where you left off.

In regards to class and racial abilities, you have access to all your abilities but please try not to take advantage of them to ruin the fun of someone else at the table. If your original class ability can enhance your Pokemon try not to use it in a way that would create a disadvantage for another player.

Starting Locations

Upon entering a portal you land in whatever the starting town in for that region. You have a home there with a spirit creature that acts like a parental figure and directs you in how to advance when you first enter the region. Each subsequent time you enter the realm via this portal you start outside “your home” and all previous advances are saved.
